WebSep 13, 2024 · In C++, parameters are a special type of variable used only during function declarations. The parameter is only accessible within the scope of the function where it’s supplied. As you create a list of parameters, you must assign a data type to each parameter upon its declaration. The problem is statement mylist.push_back(4), in which you pass an integer whereas mylist expects a Point*. If you call it like mylist.push_back(new Point()) it compiles. BTW: maybe you should write std::list or place a using std::list somewhere after #include.
