WebJun 5, 2013 · Replaced timing chain,cam phasers,cam shoes and chain tensioners. using correct oil and factory filter. went to ford dealer and asked a tech his opinion, he suggested replacing the cam phaser solenoids. oil pressure reads 3/4 on the guage so i assume the pressure is good. help! I did use the phaser locking tool ( Ford #303-1046 or OTC 6681 ) to hold phasers while torqueing the phaser bolts. Then you have to MOVE cams a little to get timing marks aligned with colored chain links.
