WebThe hosts file is stored on a computer or device to provide local entries for DNS lookup. Normally when you try to resolve a hostname or domain, your computer will consult your specified DNS server to discover the IP address that it points to. WebLooked everywhere, no answers. I'm assuming it's the DNS service from Windows but I'm not sure. Before it gets the internet connection it also is pretty slow and unresponsive. No problem on Linux, works flawlessly and gets internet connection ASAP. PS: I don't want to use just DNS, I want to keep my records in my hostfile.
