The front spar is divided into two parts of 12m/39 ft and 7m/23 ft and the rear spar parts are 14m/45 ft and 5m/16 ft. The joining plates used between the two parts of each spar also are composite C-channels, placed on the inside and outside of the joint and secured with fasteners.
